as of late, I have been downloading some 9000 MAME roms, and some 105,000 Commodore 64 roms, and then transferring them to the xbox to play on the tv. I cannot imagine the next phase of my life when I actually begin playing the games.

For all who don't know, last night, my ex-girlfriend Gretchen passed away. I thought you all should know, I'll probably be at my house, my mom gave me her cell phone if anyone needs to get a hold of me: 330-715-5120.

Those who claim to be open-minded but ascribe to a particular delclared school of thought have ended their open-mindness there. Certain tenets of your beliefs shall never be allowed to be challenged at the core, and the answer is usually through passionate alarmist reaction. I know nothing, as we all do, and those that claim to have the answer are usually misguided. Religion is still a leap of faith into that which is uncertain and can clouds one's mind as to proper human judgement on how to treat one's fellow man. Blind belief leads to blind action. All humans are people with their own personal beliefs, ideas, and opinions, and should be treated with respect and dignity as such. Unless of course they use these structures to corrupt, extort, exploit, and manipulate the human mind to act in a vindicitve, fascist, and non-progressive way.

"Always treat humanity as and ends, but never a means" - Kant

There is only one way for others to view you as ethical, and that's to be ethical.

Always practice scrutiny, and just because reality may not be as comfortable, interesting, and satisfying as the mystic and the religious, does not mean they are right. So who IS right? no one. If one thinks one is right, then one is certainly wrong, for debate shall cease and progession stop. Instead of defending an unchanging view, one could better oneself serving humanity and acting on good ethics, but not necessarily good morals.

Science may not be interesting, but it works, and has no single source to explain why things happen. It is open to debate and change, the exact opposite of any construct, it's practices work and genuinely explain the world. Anyone against technology (as a whole) has probably never had to live without it, and at best probably does not understand the meaning of the word. Science betters and progresses humanity for the ultimate good and betterment of society. Science is not just equations, formulae, books and chemisty sets. It's a style of thought, a way of understanding that which is around you, and being able to actually finding out for yourself how things are instead of just having someone make you conform to a solid unchanging view of the world. Yes, I still have emotions, and no it's not a saddening look at the world, people might finally prioritize to what is truely important to themselves and those around them, and expend their efforts on that which betters the whole of society around them, economically, and emotionally.

The burden of proof is on the accusers, question all that one has to say, demand evidence!!!

I would call myself a Skeptic, but only because it means "open minded".

I like Alexander Pope, who agrees?

Sorry for being a tool, but I liked these quotes which I read recently:

"Hope springs eternal in the human breast:
Man never is, but always to be blest.
The soul, uneasy and confined from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come."

AND

"A little Learning is a dang'rous Thing;
Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian Spring:
There shallow Draughts intoxicate the Brain,
And drinking largely sobers us again."

AND

"Know then thyself, presume not God to scan,
The proper study of mankind is man."

Jason, I know thee to be well read, what are your thoughts on Alexander Pope?
